Our Lady of the Hill Chapel

This chapel is in the Penha Verde Farm and it is on of the most important properties of Sintra.
It was built in 1542 by the order of João de Castro in memory of the disputes against the ‘infidels’.
On the stairs that lead to the centre of the church there are two famous flagstones written in Sanskrit brought by the viceroy of India.
