Town: Sintra (Parish: Colares, Santa Maria e S. Miguel, S. Joćo das Lampas, S. Martinho, and S. Pedro de Penaferrim).

Maximum Altitude: 528 metres
Minimum Altitude: 0 metres 

Relief:
Low altitude mountain area with coast cliffs in the limestone plain of Estremadura.

Climate:
Mediterranean with Atlantic influence. 

Natural Value:
This is an area of great ecologic and cultural interest due to its geomorphologic, forest and landscape characteristics.
There are various geologic formations that even include a path with dinosaur tracks.
The forest has several Portuguese and Iberian endemic species.
There are three types of landscape: the rural of plateau; the mountain landscape with luxurious vegetation and also the coast landscape.
In the cliffs of Roca Cape we find endemic flower species and vast fauna interest, specially reptiles and amphibians.
