Pena Palace

It started being built in 1840 by the responsibility of the king Fernando II and it took about 47 years to be concluded.
It is right on the top of the Mountain range of Sintra and is the most complete and remarkable example of the Portuguese Romantic architecture. The Pena Palace architecture uses Moorish, gothic and manuelin motifs.
