Queluz National Palace

It was built by the order of the Infant Pedro III in 1747.
In the beginning it was a country house belonging to the Marquis of Castelo Rodrigo.
Presently the palace is used as residence of state and government that visit our country, and is also stage for special meetings.
Right in front it’s the former house of the royal court guard transformed into the Pousada Dona Maria I (Hostage). And there you can see a rigorous restoring allied to a rich decoration.
