S. Julião

Characteristics
It is near the
Falcão creek mouth, between Mafra and Sintra. The northern sand extension belongs to Mafra and the Southern to Sintra. The beach isn’t big, but the sand extension to south is quite large with high cliffs. It is frequented by Body boarders and surfers.

Infra-structures
There is an aid Office, a seaside resort and a holiday colony. There’s an earth car parking and a belvedere with excellent view over the entire area.

Access
From N 247, by Ericeira road. From Lisbon, get the A8 in direction to Mafra, take the south direction and the beach is about 3 km away.

Where to eat
In the Access road to the beach there is a restaurant that serves typical titbits from the region. And whether to Mafra direction or to Assafora there are small road restaurants.

Where to stay
It is easier to stay in Mafra, because there are only little settlements to the side of Sintra.
