Saint Mary’s Parish Church

Founded on the 12th century by D. Afonso Henriques the church was completely changed in the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century.
It is a gothic building with three naves and sets of ogive arches.
The renovation made by the King Manuel is easier to understand in the church interiors where you find a high choir with railing and a holy water font.
The façade suffered some changes after the reconstruction of 1757 – 1760 when they add to it the Baroque entablature

At about 1,5 km of the historic centre.
